Call not on any other god but God; there is no god but He. Everything shall perish except his Face.

Whatever of good befalleth thee, it is from God, and whatever of ill befalleth thee, it is from thyself.

Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? They descend upon every sinful, lying person.

Forsake the outwardness of sin and the inwardness thereof. Lo! those who garner sin will be awarded that which they have earned.

Do not veil the truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth knowingly.

It is He who hath appointed the sun for brightness and the moon for a light, and hath ordained her stations that ye may learn the number of years and the reckoning of time. God hath not created all this but for the truth. He maketh His signs clear to those who understand.

Give God Time.

Haste is of the devil.

Verily man was created avid of gain; when evil befalls him, apt to grieve; when good befalls him, grudging.

He deserves paradise who makes his companions laugh.
